Often we buy ingredients for one recipe and don’t have another use for them. Many times these items go to waste by being stored in a cabinet, forgotten about for months or even years. Have you ever cleaned out your cabinet and were surprised by items that you “found?” You may buy cocoa powder to make homemade hot chocolate during the winter, but may not use that recipe over the summer because it is just too hot. Why not transform the cocoa powder, meant for hot chocolate in the winter, into a Chocolate Banana Shake for the summer? All you need is four ingredients and you have a delicious and healthy snack.
TIP:
Sometimes we want to whip up a quick snack without having to go out grocery shopping. Instead of getting a pizza delivered, there are online tools that allow you to input ingredients that you already have at home and will show you recipes based on what you already have. Try searching recipes by ingredients and see what you can make with what you already have.
