  5. Why did you choose to be a provider in your specialty?

I have experienced what it is like not to have a regular provider to go to and have depended on the accessibility of urgent care facilities. Patients at urgent care facilities trust their provider to have the knowledge to treat any problem that walks through the door. It is the job of the urgent care provider to help their patients feel comfortable and trusting in a short amount of time. I chose to become an urgent care provider because I’m relatable. I know life can busy and I care about providing an accessible and comfortable environment in which my patients can seek treatment. I am excited to provide support, education, and care to those who come into the urgent care.

  6. What are your top three personal values? Growth, Integrity, Courage
  7. What is your approach to connect with your patients? I connect with patients by making them feel at ease. Chances are, what they are feeling others have felt before, even the provider. It is important while caring for the patient they are comfortable and for the provider to explain the diagnosis. As a provider you need to educate the patient on the treatment needed to make things better, but also what can be done to prevent it from happening again in the future.
  8. What is one of your most proud accomplishments? I am incredibly proud of going to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on a medical mission trip. Helping the people in the capital of Haiti and spending time with children in the orphanage of which I stayed at has been the most wholesome experience I’ve ever had. I am proud to have experienced their culture and to have been given the opportunity to serve them.
