The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, free and the most effective tool in preventing COVID-19 and reducing the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, or developing long-term COVID-19 complications. Please continue to wear a mask where appropriate and follow all other health guidelines. Stay home if you’re sick and get tested if you’ve been exposed to COVID-19 or have symptoms. All New Yorkers ages 5 years and older are now eligible for the vaccine. Vaccines are 100% free of cost and are by appointment only.

All adults in the U.S. ages 18 years and older are now eligible to receive Pfizer’s and Moderna’s COVID vaccine boosters. A COVID-19 booster is given when a person has completed their vaccine series, and protection against the virus has decreased over time. Testing for COVID-19 is widely available throughout New York State. Search for a testing location near you using the following link: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/find-test-site-near-you

New York State has shortened the quarantine period to 5 days, in most cases. Review the links above for specifics.
New York State Department of Health provides printable attestation letters for people who tested positive for COVID-19, quarantined or isolated and need a letter for work, school or business.
New York State Department of Health has determined that contact tracing is no longer the most effective way of controlling the pandemic. You may not get a call from your county’s department of health’s contract tracing department if you are positive for COVID-19. Read more here.
